Justice

The United States Supreme Court case, 'Brown V. Board of Education 1954' monumentally declared separate school systems, based on race, unconstitutional. The lead attorney, Thurgood Marshall, who brought the case to trial, would go on to become a one-of-a-kind Supreme Court Justice in 1967. The first Black appointment in the court's, at the time, 178 year history.
